Jackson’s Skeriotis Federal League Player of the Year

Cantonrep.com: Jackson senior pitcher Yianni Skeriotis and Polar Bears head coach Bill Gamble swept the top honors as the All-Federal League baseball teams were announced.

Skeriotis went 10-1 with 0.12 ERA in repeating as the Federal League Player of the Year. The Ohio State recruit, a 6-foot-3 right-hander, struck out 73 and walked 16 in 59 innings. He finished his varsity career with a 28-1 record.

Gamble, the Federal League’s Coach of the Year, guided the Polar Bears to a 26-4 record and their sixth straight league and district championships. Jackson has won 54 straight league games.
